Specific Skills This position requires a Ph.D. or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or a related field and 2 years related experience. Must also have 12 months of demonstrated ability which may have been gained concurrently with each of the following 1 model fluid phase equilibria and physical properties with equation of state, activity coefficient models, group contributional methods, computation chemistry and Density Functional Theory; 2 establish physical property laboratory to provide accurate measurement of phase equilibria, and other physical properties, such as thermal conductivity, viscosity, heat capacity, etc.; 3 provide expertise in thermodynamics, and share extensive knowledge of chemical engineering kinetics, transport phenomena, reactive chemistry, and chemistry safety assessment; 4 document research progress and innovation in peerreviewed journal papers, patents, and internal report; and 5 utilize the following toolstechnologies Aspen Plus, Aspen Properties, COSMORS, DDBSP, DIPPR, NIST, OLI, HTRI, MBDS, TMODS, and inhouse software with programming capabilities. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Ph.D. program. Domestic travel required up to 10 of the time.
