Specific Skills:This position requires a Masters degree or equivalent in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field plus three 3 years of related experience in the commercial construction industry working on commercial construction projects. Alternatively, this position requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field plus five 5 years progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in the commercial construction industry working on commercial construction projects. Must also have 12 months of experience with each of the following 1 determining cost codes, approving invoices, and making necessary budget management decisions for at least two commercial construction projects of at least 80 million; 2 managing subcontractors and suppliers for at least two commercial construction projects for the initial buyout stage, the subcontractor interview and final selection process, the finalizing of the subcontract terms and agreements, the construction cycle, and the closing out of the subcontractor scopes; 3 analyzing, managing, and executing change orders for commercial construction projects, including reviewing change contract documents issued by the client, sending out Requests for Proposals to subcontractors, reviewing and presenting final costs to the client, obtaining final approval from the client, incorporating the scope into the subcontract as a change order, and managing the change order in the field; 4 handling monthly billing in excess of 30 million on average for commercial construction projects; and 5 working with following software applications Primavera P6, Oracle EBusiness Suite, Revit BIM, and NAVIS Works. Will accept experience gained before, during, or after Masters program. All experience may have been gained concurrently.
