Specific Skills Qualified applicants must have a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or acceptable alternate occupation. Must possess full term of data engineering experience. Full term of experience must include hands on experience with MapReduce, PigHive, or Spark; and automation of data flow using NiFi and AirflowOozie; developing and building applications to process very large amounts of data structured and unstructured, including streaming realtime data Spark, RPython, Scala, Kafka, Spark streaming or other such tools; working with at least one NoSQL system HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB; writing complex SQL statements; and working with cloud based deployments. Must possess experience with containers container orchestration Swarm or Kubernetes; Hands on experience in Cloudera, Hortonworks andor Cloud AWS EMR, Azure Data Lake Storage based Hadoop distributions; building advanced analytics solutions with data from enterprise systems including ERPs, CRMs, Marketing tools; dimensional modeling, data warehousing and data mining; machine learning solutions and data science methods promotion; and database performance management and API development. Up to 20 international and domestic travel is required. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 times per week.
