Ampirical Services, Inc. is an electrical transmission and distribution engineering company that provides comprehensive customer support, from project conception to design engineering, project management, and construction. Our services includes complex engineering, procurement, and construction of switchyard projects for new electrical generation power plants, switchgear and related electrical components for industrial cogeneration projects, and transmission and distribution system upgrades for municipalities, industries, and utilities. The Senior Project Engineer manages relationships with alliance clients, and performs and directs others in the detailed design of high to EHV utility substations. The Senior Project Engineer conducts internal and external client, manufacturer, and contractor meetings, as well as performs quality reviews of engineering work for both internal assets and subcontractors on assigned projects. This position managesdevelops project proposals, bid preparations, project schedules, bill of materials, etc. for assigned Substation projects. The position also oversees project work on the design team, as well as provides technical guidance, corrective actions and QA review for project engineering deliverables. It is not a juniorlevel role but one of the highest individual contributor roles, as reflected by the indepth project engineering management responsibilities. An individual in this position is expected to perform with limited supervision, and to be fully competent to handle tasks and issues throughout the project life cycle. The position requires an advanced, indepth theoretical understanding of electrical engineering principles, as well as technical project management skills, to provide the professionalism and practical maturity that is necessary to accomplish the tasks independently efficiently, and reliably and to ensure quality project deliverables to our clients. As a result, we have determined that a Bachelors and 8 years of experience are the minimum qualification necessary for the job opportunity.
