Exceptional ABDs with teaching and research experiencebr may be considered.br The applicants academic concentration, research programs, or professionalbr experience should be in areas directly related to IS, cybersecurity, databasebr management, andor business analytics.br Applicants must be able to demonstrate teaching excellence at the collegiatebr level along with a strong commitment to highquality research in the field.br The candidate will be expected to perform university, public, and professionalbr service as part of the workload. Relevant teaching experience at the universitybr level, a record of publications in peerreviewed journals, andor certifications inbr the field of IS, cybersecurity, or business analytics is expected.br Knowledge of working with popular analytics andor cybersecurity software toolsbr and languages commonly used in the industry is also expected.br The successful candidate should have the ability to teach at both the graduatebr and undergraduate levels.br Areas of Interest No Minimum Levelbr Required The successful candidate will demonstrate a sincere commitment to promoting advocacy, diversity, equity, inclusiveness, and social justice, as evidenced by prior efforts.br LicenseCertification Required Relevant certifications in the field of IS, cybersecurity, andor business analytics arebr preferred.br Description of the Department orbr Unit The Department of Computer Information Systems is housed in the Walker College ofbr Business at Appalachian State University httpsbusiness.appstate.edu.
