Specific Skills JOB DUTIES CONTINUED FROM SECTION H.11br br Job Duties continued This also includes participation in the risk mitigation process during the weekly meeting with engineering management. Create Change Order Proposals for any customer requested changes to the contract that require additional engineering or steel long rolling equipment. This includes getting engineering hours estimates from the lead mechanical, civil, fluids and electrical engineers. It also includes creation of cost estimates for the additional equipment required for the proposal. Create mechanical engineering hour estimates for budgetary proposals. This includes the creation and maintenance of a database that is used to create budgetary mechanical engineering hour estimates for proposals during the bidding phase of a contract. This requires knowledge of the steel wire rod mill and bar mill equipment that is included in proposals as well as an understanding of the bidding and engineering execution phases of a contract. This also requires coordination with the proposal engineers who update the specification templates, the lead engineers for each equipment and the software engineer who maintains the estimation software. Create plant layouts, engineering studies and engineering drawings in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for steel long rolling equipment. Coordinate mechanical, civil, fluids and electrical engineering for equipment for steel wire rod mills and bar mills. Responsible for plant layouts and engineering study drawings for steel mills. Coordinates engineering mechanical, civil, fluids and electrical and creates plant layouts and engineering study drawings for the following equipment used in steel wire rod mills and bar mills.br br br Minimum education and experience required Bachelors degree or the equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 2 years of experience in long rolling mill design layout or related field.br br Must have experience with Creating and revising plant layouts and engineering studies in AutoCAD and SolidWorks; Longrolling mill terminology, operation, design, installation and commissioning; Wire Rod Mill and Bar Mill rolling processes; Reading and understanding mechanical drawings and fluids schematics; Understanding technical specifications and commercial contracts; SAP; Process interfaces and identification of opportunities for process enhancements and improvements within an engineering department; Business and financial terminology including customer price, direct costs of material and services; inclusions; surcharges; contribution margin; direct production costs; order costs; gross margin; function costs; and EBIT.
