Specific Skills Must possess at least a bachelors degree or its equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience with Canadian life insurance product development and valuation, including applicable regulations and Standards of Practice. Must also possess the following at least 5 years of experience with GGY AXIS Actuarial modeling software; at least 5 years of experience with life insurance administration and illustration platforms; at least 5 years of experience with Excel macrosVBA programming; demonstrable knowledge of Canadian insurance products and markets, with specific experience with participating Whole Life products; demonstrable knowledge of Canadian insurance regulations, product tax laws, and Standards of Practice; and Certification as a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, or, a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
