Specific Skills Position requires a Masters degree in Civil Engineering, plus 3 years of experience in a related occupation.br br Position requires 2 years of experience withbr Logging and identifying soil samples;br Engineering analysis including writing reports of findings and recommendations;br Performing field work including marking soil boring locations, requesting street permits from various municipalcountystate agencies, coordinating site activities including safety, logging soil samples behind a drill rig, and site cleanup;br Preparing draft reports including required plates and appendices addressing project scope within the project budget;br Calculating and writing project proposals to achieve client requests and to meet project profitability goals; and,br Performing CADD drawings indicating cross section generation using Autocad Civil 3D Cross section generation of soil profiles for stability analysis and presentation of spatial information.br br Position requires knowledge or experience inbr Performing geotechnical engineering analyses including use of Snailz for soil nail wall design or similar, Wincore or similar for Skin and tip resistance curves determination of deep foundations, gINT for management and presentation of field and laboratory test results and information, and or Lpile or similar for design of deep foundations under lateral loading, SlopeWor similar for slope stability analysis; Settle3 or similar for consolidation settlement analysis, RocLab for rock mass strength parameters determination. While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear, and to utilize a computer and software applications suchbr as Microsoft Office along with geotechnical applications.br br Position requires EngineerInTraining License EITbr br Position requires travel to local sites within 50 miles of worksite address up to 20. Travel by company truck to various project sites to perform field activities within the Central South Texas area. Telecommuting available. Employee only required to perform field work if no one else is available for the project.
