Advanced skills in data gathering and reporting. Experience with Global Economic Analysis GEA. Knowledge of advances in the areas of monetary policy analysis andor financial systems, as evidenced by reports and memos that have been used in monetary policy deliberations and other policy settings. Academic research focused on original and relevant topics for monetary economics, macroeconomics, economic forecasting, growth, international economics, financial regulation and oversight, labor markets, andor related microeconomic fields. Ability to use mathematics, econometrics, and statistics to conceptualize, develop, and estimate models of economic conditions. Experience gathering, manipulating, and analyzing large, complex macroeconomic, financial, and microeconomic data sets. Experience specifying and estimating economic models using programs such Matlab, R, Mathematica, Stata, SAS, and Gauss on multiple computer platforms. Experience delivering presentations and written analyses on domestic and international issues relevant to U.S. monetary policy and financial oversight. Experience translating and disseminating complex economic and financial issues to nonspecialists, including policymakers, government officials, media, and the general public.br br None of these skills can be acquired within a reasonable period of onthejob training.
