Specific Skills The minimum requirements for the position include BACHELORS DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE OR DIRECTLY RELATED This is a sophisticated position which requires the employee to establish objectives and strategies for complex data engineering solutions. The degree in Computer Science, or a directly related field will provide the necessary foundation to undertake these duties. 3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, ANY TITLE, LEADING DATA ENGINEERING PROJECTS IN PHARMACEUTICAL OR OTHER LIFE SCIENCES INDUSTRY, DESIGNING AND DEVELOPING DATA WAREHOUSES AND DATA LAKES, DEVELOPING DATA INFRASTRUCTURE AND DEPLOYING SOLUTIONS IN A GxP ENVIRONMENT. This is not an entry level position and, as such, requires, at minimum, three years of experience leading data engineering projects in the pharmaceutical or other life sciences industry. We specify that the experience must have been in the pharmaceutical or other life sciences industry, as the ability to perform the duties of this position requires an indepth knowledge of how these industries function and indepth knowledge of the specific regulatory compliance requirements that do not exist in other fields. Further, clients will not accept someone in this leadership role who does not have the required industry experience. The design and development of data warehouses data accumulated from a wide range of sources within a company which is used to guide management decisions, and data lakes storage repository that holds a vast amount of raw data in its native format until it is needed for analytics applications. and the development of data infrastructure are the core duties of any position which involves leading data engineering projects.
