The minimum requirements for the position include BACHELORS DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE OR DIRECTLY RELATED This is a sophisticated position which requires the employee to establish objectives and strategies for complex data engineering solutions. The degree in Computer Science, or a directly related field will provide the necessary foundation to undertake these duties. 3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, ANY TITLE, LEADING DATA ENGINEERING PROJECTS IN PHARMACEUTICAL OR OTHER LIFE SCIENCES INDUSTRY, DESIGNING AND DEVELOPING DATA WAREHOUSES AND DATA LAKES, DEVELOPING DATA INFRASTRUCTURE AND DEPLOYING SOLUTIONS IN A GxP ENVIRONMENT. This is not an entry level position and, as such, requires, at minimum, three years of experience leading data engineering projects in the pharmaceutical or other life sciences industry. We specify that the experience must have been in the pharmaceutical or other life sciences industry, as the ability to perform the duties of this position requires an indepth knowledge of how these industries function and indepth knowledge of the specific regulatory compliance requirements that do not exist in other fields. Further, clients will not accept someone in this leadership role who does not have the required industry experience. The design and development of data warehouses data accumulated from a wide range of sources within a company which is used to guide management decisions, and data lakes storage repository that holds a vast amount of raw data in its native format until it is needed for analytics applications. and the development of data infrastructure are the core duties of any position which involves leading data engineering projects. GxP is a collection of quality guidelines and regulations created to ensure that biopharmaceutical products are safe, meet their intended use, and adhere to quality processes during manufacturing, control, storage and distribution. Therefore, when leading projects in a GxP environment, all designs and strategies must be made within the context of those guidelines and regulations. As the Engagement Manager is working with client in the pharmaceutical industry, all plans, decisions, and strategies must be made within the context of these guidelines. As not all firms use the same job titles for such positions, we specify that we will accept experience performing the required basic core job duties regardless of job title.br br CF is a technology services company providing innovative solutions in Data Management, Big Data, Advanced Analytics and Compliance. With a highly integrated team of experts, CF delivers superior engineering solutions to corporations including many Fortune 500 companies, primarily in the Life Sciences industry. A large portion of our US business is on behalf of a pharmaceutical company located at 500 Arcola Road, Collegeville, PA 19426. We have engaged in multiple projects for this major global corporation at this location for the past fifteen years. The employee will focus on maintaining the relationship with the client and expanding scope of business at this customer worksite. Thus, the worksite is known and the recruitment was conducted in the geographic area in which the position is located, i.e. Collegeville, PA.br We respectfully submit that the requirements for the job are normal for the occupation.
